Big Brothers Big Sisters is a non-profit organization serving children and families facing adversity. Many of these children live in poverty, have a parent in prison, or come from a single parent household, and as a result, show poor academic performance.
Research shows that children facing these challenges are twice as likely to repeat a grade and drop out of school. These children need and deserve our support, encouragement, and guidance as adults in their community so they can stay in school, avoid substance abuse, benefit from having self-confidence, and enjoy healthy relationships. The children of Texas need us!
