MTCH was formed in October 2009 to meet the growing need for professional music therapy services in the greater Houston area. MTCH has offered both individual and group therapy sessions to school districts, private schools, area non-profits and for-profit learning centers.
Music therapy is defined as “an established healthcare profession that uses music to address physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of individuals of all ages. Music therapy improves the quality of life for persons who are well and meets the needs of children and adults with disabilities or illnesses.” Currently, MTCH works to help match families, clients and facilities with board-certified music therapists to assist in the growing need for music therapy in Houston areas.
MTCH has been able to reach and serve more than 400 individuals, families or facilities. Lets join together and help MTCH continue their great work!
